Exact Sciences is dedicated to changing how the world prevents, detects, and guides treatment for cancer. The Test Engineer Intern will assist in the design, development, and testing of software used in medical devices while working closely with a mentor on Systems Development projects.
Responsibilities
Learn about the aspects of the software development lifecycle for a medical device.
Assist in the implementation of software specifications.
Assist in the improvement, maintenance, and debugging of software of basic complexity.
Assist with troubleshooting of system issues.
Code and execute modules/unit tests of basic complexity and document results.
Help in the creation of internal software tools to enhance data analysis and data management productivity.
Understand architectures of software-driven systems.
Learn proper documentation techniques for software design using generally accepted notation (i.e. UML).
Research, investigate and fix a wide range of technical issues.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment within a team.
Apply professional written and verbal communication skills.

Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or similar field.
Demonstrated proficiency in software development outside the classroom (projects, student organizations, etc.)
Relevant coursework in engineering and software concepts
Basic understanding and experience with a software language (Java, C#, Python, or related language)
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
