Blackhawk Network (BHN) is building a digital platform and products that bring people and brands together. As a Technology Intern, you will work with software developers and architects to build large scale big data processing systems and gain experience in various technologies and disciplines.
Responsibilities
As a Technology Intern at BHN, you will work with our software developers, and architects, and you will learn to build large scale big data processing systems that processes multi billion dollars financial transactions with penny-level precision
You will have an opportunity to work on the following at scale: Building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Spark-Streaming
Building DevOps pipelines and CI/CD systems for the agile enterprise
Build Large scale transaction processing systems with technologies such as REST, micro-services, Spark, Lambda processing, Kinesis, Elastic, AWS, and more
Data and Analytics platforms that applies ML/AI and Big Data techniques
Real time risk/Fraud systems that detect and prevent financial fraud
Building Secure and Scalable cloud infrastructure
Qualification
Required
Demonstrate solid engineering fundamentals
Strong algorithms, data structures and coding background
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's/Master's degree program in STEM majors
Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to learn, be inquisitive and passionate
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
