BAE Systems is an international defense, aerospace and security company, and they are seeking Systems Software Engineering Interns to work with Embedded Systems. The role involves contributing to the development and integration of software for complex electronic systems and collaborating with seasoned engineers.
Responsibilities
Develop & Integrate: Work on understanding Systems and embedded software development for complex electronic systems
Hands-On Testing: Step out of the code and into the lab, using professional test equipment to integrate and validate your software on actual hardware to align with Systems Requirements
Collaborate: Work alongside seasoned engineers to solve intricate problems in a fast-paced, high-impact environment
Qualification
Required
Currently entering your Senior year of an Engineering degree or pursuing a Master's degree
A solid understanding of basic electronics
Proficiency in at least one or more of the following: C++, Python, or MATLAB
Must be a US Citizen eligible for a Secret Department of Defense (DoW) clearance
Preferred
Experience with laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.)
Previous internship experience in embedded systems or software development
A curiosity for how complex electronic systems communicate and function
Understanding of radar principles
Understanding of CPU, GPU, & FPGA Radar signal processing and control
Understanding of Electro-optics principles
Understanding of Digital Engineering
