Summer Intern, Software Engineering - Financial Systems

SiriusXM is the leading audio entertainment company in North America, and they are seeking a Summer Intern in Software Engineering focused on Financial Systems. The intern will work on enhancement projects for the company’s Salesforce implementations and assist other Salesforce teams within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and document technical requirements and specifications
  • Develop one or more Salesforce-related enhancements within the scope of a defined project
  • Present deliverables for review and outline deployment plan
  • Assist other Salesforce teams within the company

Qualification

Required

  • Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university (those graduating by May 2027 are preferred) and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship
  • Majoring in Data Science, Information Management, Information Technology or a related degree program (current masters student in these areas preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Apex, DX, and related technologies (Salesforce certifications a plus)
  • Knowledge regarding Salesforce Sales Cloud (CPQ), Experience Cloud (Communities), Revenue Cloud (Billing) a plus
  • Working knowledge of GIT version control
  • Understanding of billing and shopping cart systems a plus
  • Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or equivalent applications
  • Exceptional willingness to learn or enhance knowledge of skillsets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to pay attention to details and be organized
  • Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to 'internal client' and customer service principles
  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S

Preferred

  • Those graduating by May 2027 are preferred
  • Current masters student in these areas preferred
  • Salesforce certifications a plus
  • Knowledge regarding Salesforce Sales Cloud (CPQ), Experience Cloud (Communities), Revenue Cloud (Billing) a plus
  • Python a plus
