Nokia manufactures mobile devices, network infrastructure, and location-based technology for businesses. They are seeking a Space and Defense SW Test Engineer Co-Op to analyze feature specifications, develop test cases, and maintain test environments while supporting automation and process improvement.
Responsibilities
Analyze feature specifications and develop test cases
Set up, configure, and maintain lab/test environments
Execute and automate test plans using scripting tools (e.g., Python)
Diagnose and reproduce complex system issues
Support test automation, vulnerability scanning, and reporting
Assist in the creation of product demos for internal and external audiences
Adhere to quality assurance practices and contribute to process improvement
Qualification
Required
Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field at an accredited university in the U.S.
Analyze feature specifications and develop test cases
Set up, configure, and maintain lab/test environments
Execute and automate test plans using scripting tools (e.g., Python)
Diagnose and reproduce complex system issues
Support test automation, vulnerability scanning, and reporting
Assist in the creation of product demos for internal and external audiences
Adhere to quality assurance practices and contribute to process improvement
Familiarity with Python, C++, Java, or other scripting/programming languages
Experience with Linux, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and virtualization technologies
Understanding of telecom network architecture, protocols, and RF principles
Exposure to RF instrumentation and calibration techniques
