RTX is an aerospace and defense company developing communications and monitoring systems that support military safety and real-time information. The Software Engineering Intern will contribute to real-time embedded software development for Gen 4 Tactical Airborne Radar programs, analyze technical problems, apply software engineering concepts, and collaborate across disciplines.
Responsibilities
Apply technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts
Analyze technical problems and provide innovative solutions
Work effectively and contribute during various phases of the software development life-cycle
Participate in development efforts of real-time embedded software
Drive towards meeting technical goals
Communicate effectively with team members and leaders across multiple disciplines and functional areas
Qualification
Required
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in an applicable discipline and actively enrolled through completion of the internship / co-op session
Developing software utilizing C/C++, Python, Ada or related tools/languages
Knowledge of real time embedded software development
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
U.S. Citizenship is required
Preferred
Hardware / software integration experience
Knowledge and Experience with Radar Technology
Experience with developing and integrating software for Radar systems
Knowledge in the phases of the software development life-cycle
Knowledge of Software Development Processes
Experience with Agile and Continuous Integration methodologies
