Software Engineering Intern (Summer 2027)

The Software Engineering Intern will participate in the development of software solutions, collaborate with teams, and assist in various technical tasks to support product lines.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in technical decisions and development of software solutions that align with the highest standards in quality while maintaining various product line portfolio and customer contracts
  • Develop SW and SW test solutions to meet customer and product line needs
  • Demonstrate time management skills - ability to work unsupervised, multi-task, and coordinate work
  • Assist in crafting operational plans and developing phased execution strategies to optimize daily workflows and scale production
  • Collaborate effectively within a geographically dispersed team across various time zones and cultural backgrounds to drive unified project goals
  • Advance key department initiatives by building interactive prototypes and demonstrations that showcase new concepts and capabilities
  • Learn management of the relationship between cost and value

Qualification

Required

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Preferred

  • Experience using C/C++, Ada, HTML, Javascript and/or Python
  • Experience programming in Windows and Unix/Linux based development environment
  • Experience in software integration, testing, and debugging source code
  • AGILE development experience
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance (Classified as a US Person)
