The Software Engineering Intern will support high-fidelity simulation and modeling for NC3 mission-system integration and crew training, including aircraft simulation models, mission simulation software, validation tests, documentation, and peer reviews.
Responsibilities
You will team up with a high-performance software team to support development of Aircraft Simulation Models for a Mission Crew Training Device
You will collaborate with fellow Software Engineers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Software Architects, and other teams to drive software product maturity
You will be responsible for producing high-quality Mission Simulation software, validation tests, and documentation
You will participate in peer reviews for software engineering artifacts
Qualification
Required
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session
Requires strong foundation in C++ programming language
Requires experience with the Python programming language
Preferred
Experience working within an Agile framework
Knowledge in Microservices, containers, and orchestrators
Experience working with Gitlab DevOps platform
Understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) Communications Concepts
Knowledge of the CI/CD software development process
Experience in Software Simulation
