Viasat is a global communications company on a mission to deliver impactful connections. They are seeking a Software Engineering Intern to develop, test, and deploy software applications while collaborating with other developers and product managers to enhance internal tools and applications.
Responsibilities
Develop, test, and deploy software applications
Implement automation solutions to streamline workflows and reduce manual efforts
Participate in code reviews and regular team meetings
Collaborate with other developers and product managers
Adding new features to internal tools
Troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain a high performing product
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science
Final graduation date must fall between December 2026 and June 2027
Must be available to work 40 hours/week for the full duration of the internship program
Experience with Python, Java, Golang, Clojure or an equivalent programming language
Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
US Citizenship required
Preferred
Experience programming with: Java Springboot
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Exposure to automation frameworks and scripting, such as Ansible
Previous experience with bash or general linux environments
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Previous Viasat internship experience
