Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 on TAFB for the B2 Program. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers and gain insights into Electronic Warfare and Mission Planning while refining your software development skills.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with a team of engineers within the Airborne Electronic Warfare (AEW) organization.
Gain valuable insights into the critical role that Electronic Warfare and/or Mission Planning play in modern military operations.
Refine your skills in software development through tasks such as coding, conducting requirements analysis, unit testing, and documentation review.
Analyze problem trouble reports found during testing and provide written and verbal status updates on testing progress to the concurrent engineering team.
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) degree.
Experience with C, C++, Java, and/or Python programming languages.
Familiar with software development lifecycles.
Ability to obtain a US government security clearance.
Must be a US citizen.
Preferred
Agile software development experience.
Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence tools.
