The Software Engineering Intern will collaborate with engineering, product, design, and DevOps teams to propose and implement solutions, launch features, influence product development, and maintain high-quality engineering practices while gaining hands-on experience with modern technologies and tools.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with a dynamic and supportive team of backend and frontend engineers, product managers, designers, and DevOps engineers
Propose ideas, implement solutions, experiment, and launch features to First American’s users and customers
Influence engineers, teams, and product managers across the organization to shape the full product lifecycle
Maintain high standards in sustainable engineering by following best practices and delivering high-quality code, documentation, testing, and monitoring
Gain hands-on experience with technologies such as C#, TypeScript, Python, React, NestJS, SQL, NoSQL, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS services
Use industry-standard tools like GitHub, Slack, Jira, Confluence, and LaunchDarkly
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree at an accredited university
Must be majoring in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems
Prior exposure to best practices through hackathons, design challenges, university projects, or previous internships
