Rivian is a company focused on building immersive in-vehicle digital experiences. As a Software Engineering Intern, you will design and develop user-facing applications for Android, ensuring quality and performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
Design and develop applications on Android OS, contributing to critical features like navigation or media
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product and UI/UX design teams, to define application features
Debug and fix application issues before final release
Write test code to test for quality, robustness, and functional correctness, including edge cases
Design and implement subsequent application updates and releases
Grow your skills through continual learning, workshops, conferences, and talks
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program at an accredited US university
Proficiency in Kotlin
Proficiency using Android and Android Jetpack APIs
Preferred
Actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related technical field with the intent to return to school following completion of internship
Experience developing Android Apps
Experience with continuous integration tools, such as Jenkins
Knowledge of Android design principles and application interface guidelines
