Western Digital helps customers capture, preserve, access, and transform an ever-increasing diversity of data. They are seeking a Software Engineering Co-Op to assist in building internal software tools and automation for system integration testing, focusing on test automation and hardware validation.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, document, and validate test automation framework improvements, test scripts, and bug fixes (software)
Configure and debug enterprise servers, including storage device installation, OS setup, and network configuration
Engage with technical experts (hardware) and test engineers to understand requirements and restrictions
Participate in feature demonstrations to internal users and management
Qualification
Required
Students pursuing a Bachelor's degree majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related major. The ideal candidate will graduate in 2027.
Right to work in the US without requiring Western Digital to commence or sponsor an immigration case to employ you at any point in the future required (for example, H-1B or other employment-based immigration case)
Experience utilizing object-oriented design concepts in projects
Familiarity with Linux-based systems via command line
Passion for problem-solving and learning new things
Solid communication skills
