Thales is a global leader in digital security, providing identity management and data protection solutions. They are seeking a Software Engineer Intern to develop cybersecurity solutions for the Financial Services market, contributing to the existing product portfolio and next-generation products.
Responsibilities
Follow software engineering principles and best practices across all phases of commercial development and engineering product release
Debug and resolve problems with limited scope in multi-threaded and concurrent applications
Escalate complex issues as needed
Communicating task and project status to the team and product owners
Ensuring assigned tasks are on time
Accurately breaking down, estimating, and scheduling software tasks
Utilize formal software configuration management & control tools
Understand and follow routine policies and procedures
Ensure compliance to company formal quality system
Any other duties or tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Understanding of JIRA, GIT, and Bitbucket
Experience with Linux and Linux virtual machines
Strong skills in Python and C/C++ programming languages
Knowledge of REST APIs
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions with supervisory review
Computer Science or Computer Engineering student, Junior year or above
Preferred
Familiar with Agile and/or SAFE methodologies
Familiar with Qualys tool
Familiar with Blackduck tool
Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes
