CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness owned by farmers, ranchers and cooperatives across the United States. We are seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join our software development team for Summer 2025, where you will make a measurable impact and work in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Work in an Agile product team environment participating in various scrum events.
Develop end to end software functionality, including user interfaces, backend and middleware components, and unit tests.
Follow application lifecycle guidelines using CI/CD pipelines, Agile Story boards, and GIT-based repositories.
Develop database components, including queries and utilizing object relationship management capabilities.
Assist developing user stories including writing acceptance criteria and estimating.
Assist in various troubleshooting, researching and analysis activities.
Assist in creating knowledgebase and other types of documentation.
Assist in quality assurance testing, including assisting in developing tests cases and test automation.
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in a relevant CS program
Casual experience with object-oriented software development languages
Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks used for interface development
Basic understanding of the development life cycle of modern software development
Basic understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices
Demonstrated interest in technology – coursework, hobbies, internships, etc.
Preferred
Experience with SPA type applications and Angular
Experience with the .NET core framework
Demonstrated experience working with or creating web services, including securing a web service
