Lockheed Martin is a leader in innovative technologies and is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern to support the Mission Systems Integration Engineering organization. In this role, you will work closely with a team of engineers to develop embedded diagnostic software, including device drivers and Built-In-Test libraries, for mission processors and computers.
Responsibilities
Develop embedded diagnostic software such as device drivers, Built-In-Test libraries, and special test equipment software for mission processors and computers.
Collaborate with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team of technical professionals.
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a B.S. in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent STEM computing field
Academic or professional experience using C, C++, C#, or Java
Academic or professional experience on at least one team-based project
Must be a US Citizen.
This position will require a government security clearance.
This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Preferred
Experience writing or debugging hardware control software, or using programmable single board computers (such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar)
Basic understanding of software development methodologies (especially Agile)
Basic understanding of full software life-cycle development and process
Experience with Git/GitLab, Visual Studio, or Atlassian products
