MDU Resources Group, Inc. is seeking a Software Developer Intern to gain experience with programming assignments including coding, testing, debugging, and installing programs. The intern will assist with design enhancements to existing systems and provide support to System Analyst/Programmers while prioritizing safety in their work routine.
Responsibilities
Complete modifications to existing programs as directed to correct known problems or to implement changes requested by the user
Devise, document and conduct unit tests of modified and new programs in accordance with their stated specifications
Assist with the analysis in conjunction with a Software Developer and user to automate or enhance business processes
Modify existing program documentation in accordance with established standards
Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate student currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Familiarity with software development languages like Java, .Net, and full stack web application skills
Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered
Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks
Preferred
Currently enrolled sophomore or junior in undergraduate study program
