Leonardo DRS is a global pioneer of AESA tactical radars for military protection and critical infrastructure. They are seeking a Senior Technical Intern to work alongside their Algorithm Engineering team, focusing on algorithm development and statistical signal processing.
Responsibilities
Carry out basic work instructions that will help in understanding the fundamentals of the Company and learn about the field of tactical radar
Conduct limited scope testing and participate in test events under the supervision of engineers
Complete assigned tasks on time
Gather, assemble, and analyze data for engineers
Help in research via modeling and simulation efforts in MATLAB
Conduct design analysis and/or performance analysis under the supervision of engineers
Learn about state estimation, Kalman filtering, and radar waveforms
Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs and practices
Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Rising senior pursuing an Electrical Engineering, Math, or Physics degree
Familiarity and experience writing and debugging MATLAB code
Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network
Must be diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn
