SDET/QA Engineer - Employee Benefits Intern

The Standard is a leading provider of financial products and services, and they are seeking a Software Developer in Test (SDET) intern to focus on automation around testing. The role involves developing automated testing solutions and collaborating with teams to ensure product quality through effective testing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop automated testing integrated into our continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous test (CI/CD/CT) pipelines.
  • Lead or participate in requirements gathering that will feed an iterative-based methodology.
  • Design and develop data products while also being responsible for the quality of the data through full lifecycle testing.
  • Work collaboratively with software architects and developers to design, develop, and implement test automation frameworks, strategies, and solutions to ensure product quality and improve Cycle Time.
  • Build and automate the data product testing process, including data/application testing framework, and processes.

Qualification

Required

  • Genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
  • Proficient at investigative process.
  • Experience in designing and implementing application test and verification solutions.
  • Experience with automation around testing.
  • Experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous test (CI/CD/CT) pipelines.
  • Ability to design solutions using agile test-driven methodology and DevOps/DataOps best practices.
  • Experience in data product or software development in multiple modern languages.
  • Good proficiency in current industry toolsets and knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Ability to build and automate the data product testing process, including data/application testing framework and processes.
  • Demonstrates flexibility by willingly accepting new situations such as teams, projects or work processes.
  • Responds to standard requests from internal/external customers; performs necessary duties consistently and reliably to meet customer expectations.
  • Demonstrates curiosity by asking questions regarding current approaches/methods and identifying potential changes.
