SAP is a global leader in enterprise software, and they are seeking an intern for their Globalization iXp program. The intern will contribute to software engineering activities across backend, frontend, data, and AI-enabled automation components, working closely with a cross-functional engineering team.
Responsibilities
Implementing high-quality, maintainable code in Python, Java, and/or JavaScript
Building backend and frontend components that integrate with SAP Business Technology Platform, AI/ML services, and enterprise data sources
Contributing to SAP’s internal Knowledge Graph capabilities using RDF, SPARQL, and related technologies
Supporting database schema design, data ingestion pipelines, and integration workflows across SAP systems
Participating in unit testing, debugging, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and pair programming with senior engineers
Documenting code, design decisions, and technical artifacts for long-term maintainability
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field
Hands-on experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript
Hands-on experience with AI/ML development, including practical exposure to machine learning concepts, generative AI, embeddings, or LLM-based application development
Familiarity with SQL and database design principles
Exposure to Git, GitHub, or similar source control systems
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including development, testing, debugging, deployment, and maintenance
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Preferred
Experience with SAP BTP, CAP, OData, or enterprise application development
Familiarity with cloud-native application development
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines or automated testing
Basic understanding of ABAP concepts or SAP configuration content processes
