SAP is a leading provider of integrated travel, expense, and invoice management solutions. They are seeking a Software Developer Intern to build web apps and cloud services while collaborating with experienced engineers to improve software systems and develop new microservices.
Responsibilities
Build web apps and cloud services in a microservice architecture
Understand, debug, and make meaningful improvements to code used by real customers
Scale and improve software systems that span multiple teams
Own services end-to-end: developing code, writing test automation, managing DevOps, and resolving production problems
Use AI coding tools as part of your everyday development workflow — writing, reviewing, and improving code collaboratively with AI assistance
Problem solve alongside a team of experienced engineers
Grow your technical, architectural, and communication skills through hands-on project work
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor's, master's or JD/PhD program
Education: Computer Science or related field of study
A curious and agile mindset, with a passion for learning and the resilience to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate ideas clearly and effectively
Emotional intelligence and cultural awareness that support inclusive teamwork and thoughtful stakeholder engagement
A growing foundation in business acumen and emerging technologies — especially artificial intelligence — paired with a results-oriented approach and the courage to take initiative
Ability to learn and grow across various technologies including Golang, JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, React/Redux, GraphQL, Java, Kotlin, Python, C# (.NET), concurrent programming (coroutines, actors, threads, processes)
Experience with test automation (unit, integration, end-to-end)
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and practices (GitHub Copilot, LLMs for code generation and review)
