The R&D Firmware Engineer Intern will assist in designing and developing implant products, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and engaging in hands-on engineering work to address clinical needs.
Responsibilities

Designing, fabricating, and testing prototype devices to address clinical feedback
Analyzing large clinical databases to inform device design and procedural technique
Viewing live and recorded clinical procedures and developing test methods to replicate use
Qualification
Required
Must be a rising junior or rising senior (grad dates between Dec 2026 - June 2028), graduating senior (May/June 2026 grad) continuing on to grad school, or current grad student
Currently majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
Must be able to commit to program dates May 18th - August 7th or May 26th – August 14th, 2026
Has or is willing to organize reliable transportation to the work site
Preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams
Passion to learn new technologies and find new solutions

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
