BAE Systems is a leading global defense, security, and aerospace company dedicated to protecting what really matters. As a Quality Assurance Intern, you will support the assembly of armored military vehicles, focusing on supplier quality evaluation and compliance with quality standards.
Responsibilities
Conducting site visits to assess supplier facilities, processes, and products
Reviewing and analyzing supplier documentation, such as quality manuals and procedures
Identifying and documenting supplier quality issues and developing corrective action plans
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvements
Assisting in the development and implementation of supplier quality metrics and dashboards
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management
Relevant coursework in quality control, supply chain management, and engineering
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data analysis tools is a plus
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a team-oriented environment
Preferred
Familiarity with quality management systems, such as AS9100, ISO 9001, or IATF 16949
Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
