John Deere is a manufacturing company that designs and produces lawn, garden, electric, agriculture, and construction equipment. They are seeking a Part-Time Student in Software Engineering to develop technical solutions, assist with IT issues, and support product design within a product team.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement technical solutions to deliver on User Stories
Assist in resolution of IT technical issues in the product team
Establish and implement CI/CD pipelines Develop automated test scripts
Work on a product team and support product design by planning its work, coordinating with others, and writing and testing code to deliver moderately complex functionality.
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Experience with 1 or more programming languages; preferably Java or JavaScript
Experience working with relational databases
Ability to work 16-20 hours during the academic year
Ability to work 30-40 hours during the summer semester
Graduation Date Spring 2026 or later
Preferred
Experience with ReactJS/NodeJS/NextJS/NestJS
Experience developing and consuming APIs
Experience with SQL, databases, and schema design
