They are seeking highly motivated rising Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate students for a Software Engineering Internship, where interns will support the verification and validation of scientific code and gain hands-on experience in software development.
Responsibilities
Support verification, validation, version control, and deployment of research and production code for the office.
Learn and apply state-of-the-art scientific coding practices.
Perform validation, unit testing, and regression testing of new and existing MATLAB and/or C/C++ scientific code.
Learn and apply principles of software revision control.
Document work and make a final presentation.
Qualification
Required
Mathematics coursework at the undergraduate calculus level or higher
Familiarity with at least one computer programming language
Major field of study: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
