CNO Financial Group is a public insurance company offering a hands-on IT internship designed for college students. The IT Intern will engage in various areas such as Information Security, Development, AI, and Business Architecture, working collaboratively with stakeholders to enhance processes and deliver value to the organization.
Responsibilities
Engage with Business/IT stakeholders
Update, modify, develop and work to automate reports
Perform code review and adhere to code quality standards.
Produce and participate in the design, analysis and presentation of work outputs
Collaborate with business, solution architecture, testing and development team
Responsible for creating product backlog items, work items, and managing work execution.
Expected to attend and participate sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews/product demos, and sprint retrospectives.
Qualification
Required
Progress towards a bachelor’s degree in, computer science, informatics, software development, software engineering, data science, cybersecurity or any information systems related discipline
Currently enrolled student with status as a junior or senior, and anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and December 2028
Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
Availability to work mid-May through early August 2026
Proficient understanding and functional knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, CSS, C#, and Perl
Proficient with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook
Ability to work independently and as a motivated team player
Ability to be organized and prioritize work; seek direction as appropriate
Good interpersonal & consultative skills
Strong written and verbal communication
Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
