The IT Intern - Application Engineer will develop, test, and support new features for web and mobile applications using the OutSystems low-code development platform, while collaborating with a team to address business challenges.
Responsibilities
Develop a sound understanding of the OutSystems low-code platform to help create software applications
Participate in the detailed technical design and construction phases of the overall software development lifecycle
Work with other engineers and developers to ensure the effective implementation of the technical designs
Under general guidance, create and document structured code that is easily maintained by other programmers
Test and debug programs and ensure that all the code follows IT technical standards
Perform entry-level analysis, problem solving, implementation, and documentation
Provide Tier 3 technical support to users
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program related to Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field of study
Minimum of a junior standing by September 2026, or have graduated within six months
Technical knowledge and skills from education or experience (coursework or hands-on)
Working knowledge of a modern programming language (Java, C#, C++)
Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Experience with SQL Server scripting and stored procedures
Experience with Visual Studio and/or Git
Preferred
Experience with one or more of the following: Low code development platforms (PowerApps, OutSystems), API and Web Service development, Experience with XML and JSON, HTML5
