The TJX Companies, Inc. is a global off-price retailer with a global IT organization. The IT Engineer Intern will gain hands-on experience solving technology challenges through pathways such as platform engineering, security engineering, software development, data and automation solutions, and product configuration. The role includes collaborating in an Agile environment, designing and testing solutions, reviewing processes, and contributing to group projects and IT strategy.
Responsibilities
Hands-on training to facilitate learning
Group project in collaboration with other interns and business leaders to contribute to IT strategy while solving a business challenge
Collaborate with experienced technology engineers and specialists globally in an Agile environment to identify innovative technology solutions for all aspects of our global business
Design, code and test solutions that make our platforms even better
Learn about TJX’s business and technologies
Review and evolve current processes
Work autonomously and collaborate in groups to tackle challenges, advance projects, and complete assignments
Qualification
Required
• Current juniors
• Students pursuing a bachelor's degree in a Technical area
+ Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related major
• Genuine interest in an Engineer career at TJX
• Problem solving through thinking analytically and creatively
• Working autonomously and collaborating as part of a team
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn
• Leadership abilities and good work ethic
• Those who can think in “Agile Mindset”—flexible, adept at handling change, willingness to learn
reliable transportation is required as TJX is not easily accessible to public transportation
