They are offering a ten-to-twelve-week internship for undergraduate students interested in a career in financial services, specifically as a Perl Developer intern, where interns will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and databases.
Responsibilities
Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and databases using appropriate languages and tools.
Gain hands-on experience with unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
Investigate technical issues under the guidance of senior developers.
Contribute to documenting new or updated business and operational support procedures.
Participate in an on-call support rotation, ensuring system stability and responsiveness outside of regular business hours.
Work with experienced engineers to build, maintain, and improve the systems that power real business operations.
Automate repetitive tasks, optimize data workflows, debug code, or support live applications.
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program (Fall 2026 - Spring 2028 graduates)
You thrive in a fast paced, high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities
You show a strong initiative to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
Proactively takes steps to achieve goals and manages time effectively to meet critical deadlines
Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and ensures accuracy in the quality of work with effective organizational skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
Preferred
Enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or Computer Engineering degree program
Experience in programming languages and operation systems including Perl, XML and SQL
Impactful involvement through work, academic leadership, volunteerism or activism within the community
