Universal Orlando Resort has been creating a legacy of unforgettable experiences for guests and is offering an internship program for Spring 2026. The role involves assisting engineers in the re-design and development of mechanical and electrical systems for Global Attractions Programs, while gaining foundational project management and engineering skills.
Responsibilities
Assists with official project documentation.
Assists with engineering calculations relating to the basic re-design and development efforts of software systems.
Participates in Factory Acceptance Testing.
Participates in Site Acceptance Testing.
Assists with vendor management, including communication and timeline organization.
Assists with troubleshooting and fault analysis.
Utilizes Electrical and Mechanical engineering fundamentals in a professional mentored environment.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification
Required
In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
A transcript is required upon application.
Preferred
Preferred majors include: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Eng. Tech, Electrical/Electronics Eng Tech, Computer Engineering, or similar.
Preferred coursework completed: Physics, Calculus, or similar.
Experience with AutoCAD.
Knowledge of AC/DC electrical.
Knowledge with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and basic programming skills.
