Avanade is a leading technology consulting firm, and they are seeking a Software Engineering Consulting Intern to join their client-facing delivery teams. This internship offers students hands-on experience in designing and building modern applications on Microsoft Azure while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the design and development of features that solve real client business problems
Support the development of server-side logic and REST APIs using C#/.NET or Java
Assist with integrating applications with Azure PaaS services such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Service Bus
Help implement data access layers using Azure SQL and ORM technologies (e.g., Entity Framework or Hibernate)
Translate business and technical requirements into structured problem statements and solution approaches
Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical team members and client stakeholders
Learn and apply modern industry development practices, including DevOps workflows and AI assisted development tools
Qualification
Required
Students on track to complete in 2026 of a bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Coursework or academic projects involving software development, cloud computing, or web services
Familiarity with at least one programming language such as C#, .NET, or Java
Exposure (academic or personal projects) to RESTful APIs or backend services
Exposure (academic or personal projects) to cloud platforms (especially Microsoft Azure)
Exposure (academic or personal projects) to databases such as SQL Server or Azure SQL
Exposure (academic or personal projects) to AI Development tools
Curiosity about modern technologies including cloud, data, AI, and microservices
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in fast-paced environments, manage ambiguity, and seek feedback
Interest in a future full-time career in technology consulting
