Comtech Telecommunications Corp. is a company that designs and delivers advanced communications systems for emergency services and commercial customers. They are seeking an intern software developer to work on AI-assisted 911 call handling solutions, involving research and development in an agile environment.
Responsibilities
Non-emergency and emergency calls triage and routing: establish learning model to triage incoming calls based on identified keywords and redirecting calls to non-emergency and emergency handlings
Geofencing management: use AI models to automatically identify certain hotspot and determine a geofence in the area to send out alert
Data extraction: AI model automatically detects 911 call scenarios and extracts relevant data required to dispatch to CAD
Develop, design, code, unit test, debug, integrate, document and participate in full life cycle of software development activities based on AGILE principle
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field)
