They are offering a 12-week paid internship for Software Engineer Interns, where students will work on impactful projects, gain real-world experience, and support the company's mission to improve health and lives.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and enhancement of payer web applications using Angular or other modern frameworks
Participate in the design and implementation of RESTful APIs and microservices using AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB. EC2)
Assist in building features that enable insurance companies to access Labcorp data, analytics, and services
Explore opportunities to apply Gen AI and AI/ML technologies to improve payer experience and operational efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX designers, product managers, and QA engineers through the full software development lifecycle
Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
Engage in code reviews and learn industry best practices for secure healthcare application development
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree candidate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline
Solid foundation in at least one modern programming language such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python, or equivalent
Strong understanding of data structures (arrays, lists, maps, trees, graphs), algorithms, and object-oriented design
Proactive learner, Strong problem-solving abilities with excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Working knowledge of machine learning fundamentals using Python frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and interest in exploring advanced AI techniques including agentic AI, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and fine-tuning
