Capital One Canada is on a mission to change banking for good and build relationships by making credit accessible. As an Intern in the Integrated Storefront Experience team, you will work alongside Software Engineers to design and build software products, contributing to projects that enhance customer experiences with credit applications.
Responsibilities
Work as part of a dynamic team throughout the software development life cycle
Develop new features, enhance existing features, and implement bug fixes in existing code
Collaborate with designers and analysts to implement enhancements or new applications
Self-document development processes, conduct peer reviews, and give actionable feedback
Conduct design and code reviews to ensure high-level quality output
Ensure adherence to continuous improvement practices as required to meet quality, and time to market imperatives
Maintain records to document program development, and revisions
Learn and build AWS cloud infrastructure on the job
Support other engineers and stakeholders from inception to production
Identify gaps and solve problems to completion
Qualification
Required
Will obtain a Bachelor's degree or higher from August 2026 or later
Familiarity with web development like HTML5, CSS,3, Javascript
Familiarity with application development using any backend programming language
Good communication, presentation, and writing skills
Good understanding of testing fundamentals
Able to work within a team setting and actively participate and collaborate in team discussion

Preferred
Experience in front end development using NodeJS, React
Experience with backend technologies such as GoLang, AWS Lambda, S3
Experience with version control technology i.e. Git
Experience with Jenkins CI/CD, ETL data pipelines, microservices, API design / integration
