The Firmware Engineering intern will perform project-oriented work under the direction of firmware development engineers that are focused on developing firmware for implementing features to control variable frequency drives (VFDs).
Responsibilities
Design and develop firmware
Product testing and certification
Coding activities (C/C++ and/or MATLAB/Simulink)
Maintain and develop test setups
Maintain firmware metrics
Document firmware applications and components
Research into new technologies
Qualification
Required
Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university

Preferred
Must be working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited college or university
Previous internship or co-op experience
Experience with C/C++ or MATLAB/Simulink
Exposure to oscilloscopes, multimeters and other hardware tools
Knowledge of PLC programming and Control Systems
