Huawei Canada has an immediate internship opening for a Software Developer. The Computing Data Application Acceleration Lab focuses on full-stack innovations and aims to enhance algorithm performance and training efficiency across industries.
Responsibilities
Contribute to software development at the product or platform level
Assist with the design and code writing for a specific cross-sub-system or codes of key algorithms
Participate in different open source and standard meetings to present solutions
Generate intellectual property such as patents and trade-secrets from research findings
Present research findings and participate in research collaborations with external research institutes and universities
Qualification
Required
BSc or MSc in one of computer science, software engineering, or computer engineering
Software development experience with C++ or Rust, including object oriented design
Knowledge of the OS internals, compilers, Linux operating system, system/processor performance, CPU architecture
Preferred
Knowledge of Machine Learning, vLLM, Data Agents is an asset
Experience with platform/system level development with performance profiling and tuning is an asset
Familiarity with mainstream big data related technologies (e.g. Apache Flink, Apache Spark) and distributed frameworks is an asset
Familiarity with CICD, and tools such as Git, and Maven is an asset
