They are seeking a Firmware Engineering Intern to support firmware testing efforts, set up and maintain test stations, and analyze Bluetooth traffic. This internship provides students with real-world experience and opportunities to develop skills alongside experienced mentors.
Responsibilities
Use Robot Framework, Python, Git, network infrastructure, and headless Linux servers. No previous experience is required for these items if you are a fast learner.
Set up and maintain test stations in Waukesha and Pewaukee offices.
Use Wireshark to capture and analyze Bluetooth traffic between mobile applications and their supported products.
Identify and propose solutions to discovered firmware and software bugs.
Opportunity to write custom test applications for Bluetooth devices.
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field with a graduation date no earlier than December 2026.
Able to work part-time during the academic year (Fall and Spring semesters), and full-time during breaks.
Able to commute into Waukesha and Pewaukee, depending on projects.
Interest in electrical engineering and software development.
Desire to learn via hands-on projects and experiences.
