Seagate Technology is a leader in storage solutions, and they are seeking a motivated intern to join their Firmware Engineering team. This internship offers hands-on experience in embedded systems development and exposure to AI/ML applications in engineering workflows, supporting firmware development for next-generation storage products.
Responsibilities
Assist in developing and testing embedded firmware features
Support internal projects that explore AI/ML techniques for diagnostics and workflow optimization
Help analyze telemetry and performance data to improve firmware reliability
Collaborate with engineers to understand firmware architecture and development processes
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and returning to school in Fall 2026
Strong knowledge and experience with C/C++ and Python programming
Exposure to embedded systems concepts through coursework or projects
Interest or exposure in AI/ML and its applications in engineering
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly
Preferred
Experience with Python or ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
Basic understanding of storage systems or hardware interfaces
