Honeywell Technologies is hiring an Embedded Software Intern to help develop software for Building Energy Management System controllers. The intern will contribute to embedded software features, communication protocols, IoT connectivity, and control algorithms while collaborating with an Agile engineering team.

Responsibilities

Develop and enhance embedded software features for Honeywell's Building Energy Management System controllers
Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and test engineers within an Agile Scrum environment
Contribute to software design and implementation using object-oriented programming principles
Support the development of communication protocols, IoT connectivity solutions, and control algorithms
Participate in testing, debugging, code reviews, and continuous improvement activities
Share ideas, take initiative, and contribute to technical discussions across the team

Qualification

Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
Interest in embedded software development and real-world product engineering
Evidence of personal projects, open-source contributions, hackathons, or other extracurricular technical activities
Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
Passion for technology, a willingness to learn, and the confidence to share ideas and take initiative in a collaborative team environment

Preferred

Exposure to C++ is a plus; experience with Java, C#, or other object-oriented programming languages is also welcome
knowledge of embedded systems, UML, or IoT technologies would be advantageous
