Boston Scientific is a leader in medical science committed to solving important health industry challenges. The Design Quality Assurance Internship involves ensuring product designs meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with diverse teams.
Responsibilities
Assist in design verification and validation activities, including test planning, execution, and documentation.
Support risk management processes by contributing to Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Hazard Analysis.
Review design documentation to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, FDA).
Collaborate with R&D and Quality teams to identify and resolve design-related issues.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Help maintain Design History Files (DHF) and ensure traceability of requirements.
Qualification
Required
Must graduate between Fall 2026 and Spring 2027
Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science
Must have at least one semester of school left post-internship
Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th – August 7th OR May 26th – August 14th
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
Must have reliable transportation to and from the Boston Scientific Arbor Lakes facility in Maple Grove, MN.
Preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams
Self-starter with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and passion to learn new technologies and find new solutions
Knowledge of analytical techniques and statistical analysis
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
