Deepfield Software Engineer Co-op

Nokia manufactures mobile devices, network infrastructure, and location-based technology for businesses. They are seeking a Deepfield Software Engineer Co-op to contribute to software development, participate in code reviews, and engage in architecture discussions.

Responsibilities

  • Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and testable code
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Contribute to architecture / design discussions
  • Contribute to positive organizational growth
  • Triage, debug, and fix defects

Qualification

Required

  • Currently a candidate for a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with an accredited school in US
  • Solid understanding of development in a Linux environment
  • Familiarity with networking concepts
  • For frontend-focused applicants: Exposure to scripting languages such as JavaScript
  • Experience or coursework using React is a plus
  • For backend/test-focused applicants: Experience working with both compiled and scripting languages
  • Python experience preferred

  • A collaborative mindset and eagerness to contribute to a growing team
  • Ability to iterate quickly, learn fast, and take initiative
