Leidos is seeking a Computer Engineering or Software Engineering Intern to contribute to cutting-edge engineering efforts within their Maritime Systems Division. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to develop advanced maritime technologies, supporting critical defense and national security missions.
Responsibilities
Contribute to technical innovation and product improvements aligned with customer needs and mission goals
Assist with Firmware & Software development for microcontrollers and FPGAs
Assist in development and execution of tests and test procedures
An eagerness to accept more challenging assignments based upon your skills & experience
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in an accredited degree program for Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science
Completion of a freshman-level engineering curriculum
Ability to work independently and collaboratively towards defined objectives
Strong problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
Commitment to complete and accurate documentation of designs, procedures, analyses, and test results as part of the engineering deliverable
Preferred
Minimum of a 3.0 GPA
Completion of at least one undergraduate course related to a programming or scripting language
Functional literacy of Linux operating systems and ability to use basic command line tools
Familiarity with some of these scripting and programming languages: Python, Bash, MATLAB, SPICE, C/C++, VHDL, Verilog
