SPX Technologies is a global leader in innovative solutions for HVAC and Detection and Measurement. They are seeking an Associate Engineer for their Engineering Development Program, which offers a unique opportunity for early-career engineers to gain hands-on experience through various rotations, mentorship, and professional development.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with project teams to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications throughout various rotational assignments.
Write, review, and debug code using modern programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript, contributing to both new features and existing systems.
Participate in code reviews, development meetings, and training sessions to learn company technologies, software development methodologies, and best practices.
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving software defects, conducting unit and system testing to ensure product reliability and performance.
Work closely with mentors and senior engineers to gather user requirements, refine solutions, and gain exposure to multiple disciplines of product development, including front-end, back-end, and QA.
Qualification
Required
The ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical / electronic schematics.
Strong technical knowledge, mathematics skills, and problem-solving skills.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Solid understanding of engineering principles and practices.
Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
Must be a US Person (Please note that applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related degree required.
Preferred
Must be hands on with the ability and willingness to jump in at any time.
Successful track record of challenging engineering and related courses.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding.
Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative, strong organizational skills and willingness to learn.
Exhibit strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy.
GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
Relevant internship / co-op experience preferred.
