The Application Engineering Intern will assist the Mining Application Engineering and Sales team with ongoing projects, support documentation preparation, and promote mtu products through technical data provision.
Responsibilities
Assisting the Mining Application Engineering and Sales team with on-going projects and tasks
Supporting Application Engineering with End Product Questionnaire (EPQ) preparation and documentation
Promoting the sale of mtu products by providing technical data to internal and external customers
Creating, reviewing and updating engineering tools (e.g.. technical presentations, documentation and training material)
Keeping management informed of current workload, issues and future assignments
Adhering to company work hours, policies and procedures as well as rules governing professional staff behavior
Adhering to company and professional ethics governing the handling of confidential information
Maintaining professional relationships with company employees, clients and customers, both internally and externally
Representing the company professionally in all interactions both internally and externally
Qualification
Required
Attending an accredited college/university and will be continuing your education after the internship
Working towards a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
Minimum GPA: 3.0, lower GPA considered if coupled with relevant experience
Good oral and written communication skills
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others
Good organizational, planning and follow-up skills
Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
Ability to use shop tools and mechanical and/or electronic instruments
Preferred
Experience with testing, data collection and analysis
Knowledge of diesel engines
