Motorola Solutions develops technologies that help keep people, property, and communities safer. The Software Engineering Summer Intern will support the ASTRO Devices Software team in developing and testing embedded software for next-generation digital two-way radio communication devices.
Responsibilities
Work in an Agile/Scrum team to analyze, design, implement, and test new two-way radio products and features
Teamwork in a multi-site, world-wide development environment
Finding, tracking, and repairing RTOS device software defects
Create and execute unit, integration, system, load, and acceptance tests
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident or be an MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for masters-level students)
Preferred
Experience in C/C++ is a plus
Experience in real-time embedded software is a plus
Strong communication and problem solving skills is a plus
Experience using version control; Git is a plus
Experience with Linux is a plus
Experience with embedded development/debug tools (such as emulators/JTAG, etc.) is a plus
