GCM Grosvenor is hiring a Software Engineering Summer Intern to contribute to product-oriented engineering teams. The intern will help develop applications and solutions that support investment decisions, operational efficiency, and the employee experience while gaining hands-on experience with modern engineering practices.
Responsibilities
Join one of our product-oriented software engineering teams for the summer. You will work closely with team members and leaders on engineering projects
Create an approach and then design and execute on project deliverables
Participate in all team Agile ceremonies
Leverage hands on experience with technology and learned practical approaches to solve real-world business problems. Create solutions the team will use beyond the internship period
The summer will culminate with an intern presentation showcasing what the intern created and learned throughout the internship program
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (grad date: Dec 2028 – Spring 2029)
Minimum GPA: 3.5
Comfortable with object-oriented programming (C#, Python, C++, or Java)
Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Exposure to web development (HTML, JavaScript, APIs, etc.)
Familiar with Agile development, cloud technologies, and the software development lifecycle
Curiosity about AI and a willingness to use AI-enabled tools, such as Claude and ChatGPT, to improve productivity, problem-solving, and day-to-day workflows
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
Applicants requiring future sponsorship for continued work authorization (for example, following F-1 OPT/CPT, or J-1 status) are not eligible
Preferred
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, etc.)
Experience with modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.)
Familiarity with automated testing tools (JUnit, Selenium, etc.)

This role follows a hybrid schedule, with in-office attendance required Tuesday through Thursday.
