Northrop Grumman is seeking Software Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 in its Defense Systems Sector. The intern will join the Command and Control & Weapons Integration Division and contribute to systems planning, integration, analysis, and translating requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Responsibilities
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
Qualification
Required
Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2027
Be majoring in or having majored in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Mechanical Engineering or other related STEM degree
Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Preferred
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
Current active Secret Security Clearance or higher
