Cirrus Logic develops mixed-signal processing products for consumer brands. The Embedded Software Test Engineer Intern will create and execute pre-silicon and post-silicon test plans, enhance test frameworks, debug and track defects, present test results, and analyze test data to improve product quality.
Responsibilities
Create and execute on test plans during pre-silicon and post-silicon phases of the product
Contribute to the design, creation, and enhancement of the test framework, including developing modules to enable more effective validation techniques
Find issues and triage/debug them with team members in the software organization
Identify, report, and handle defects in a defect tracking system
Present results to product owners, internal customers to assist in resolving defects
Analyze test result data to identify patterns, extract insights, and support meaningful conclusions that improve product quality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Knowledge of embedded systems and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as (Python/shell, C, C++, etc.)
Excellent interpersonal skills
Candidates for this role must be able to access technical data without a requirement for an export license
Preferred
Understanding of MCU and DSP cores/processors
Understanding of software testing and test automation principles
Familiar with defect management practices
Familiar with SDLC
Familiar with Jira, svn/git, and Continuous Integration systems (e.g., Jenkins)
