Textron Systems develops specialized products and services across air, land, sea, propulsion, weapon systems, electronic systems, and test, training, and simulation. The Software Engineering Intern will contribute to military vehicle research and development initiatives by supporting the full software development life cycle and working with an interdisciplinary engineering team.
Responsibilities
Tasks related to the full software development life cycle including design, development, build, integration, test, and delivery
Working within a medium size software development team on tasks related to military vehicle system development
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/CIS/MIS or a related field
Ability to work 40 hours/week (This schedule is on a combination 5/8, 4/10, with every other Friday off!)
This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance
Preferred
Experience with hardware and software integration is preferred but not required
Experience with standard communications protocols (TCP, UDP, CAN, Serial) preferred but not required
Experience with software management tools such as Mercurial, Git, Jira preferred but not required
Experience with Linux and Windows development environments preferred
