They are seeking a Software Engineer Intern who is currently enrolled in a bachelor's program, focusing on software development and participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for complex systems and applications
  • Work with talented teams of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment
  • Functional analysis of real world and test data
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ensure technical correctness, timeliness and quality of deliverables
  • Work alongside other members of the software team to analyze and develop software verification test cases and procedures

Qualification

Required

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to provide input to presentations to non-technical participants
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

  • Experience developing GUI software using Java
  • Software development lifecycle experience using an Agile methodology
  • Experience with tools such as Confluence, Eclipse, Jira, Jenkins, Junit and Rational Team Concert
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written, with technical, customer and senior leadership audiences
  • Self-motivated
  • Proven ability and desire to facilitate knowledge transfer
  • Experience in software development
  • Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues
  • Familiarity with MS Office
  • GPA of 3.0+ in a 4.0 grade scale
